One day, John came home from work to find his wife gently rocking their six-month-old daughter. She was repeating "Da-Dy" to the baby. John felt delighted, thinking his wife had chosen the word "Daddy" as the first word to teach their child.
Several weeks later, in the middle of the night, John and his wife were awakened by the cry, "Daddy!" His wife said, "Darling, she's calling you," and then turned over to go back to sleep.
