I Didn't Want to Walk Home |

English Original

Tom is an elderly man. After dinner, he enjoys taking a walk in the street and goes to bed at seven o'clock.

One evening, a police car stops at his house. An officer helps him out and tells Tom's wife, "The old gentleman couldn't find his way in the street. He asked me for a ride home."

After the policeman leaves, his wife asks, "Tom, you walk down that street every night. How could you get lost tonight?"

The old man smiles like a child and says, "Get lost? I just didn't want to walk home."
