English Original
Mr. Brown lived in a village before becoming a famous lawyer. He remembered his difficult life during college, and how his parents borrowed money for his education. Determined to succeed, he worked hard to earn a good living.
Now, he lives in a beautiful house with his family. His son, Richard, is clever, and Mr. Brown dotes on him. He sends Richard to the best school in the city, hoping he will live a happy life and become a great scientist. He buys the boy everything he wants.
However, Mr. Brown is unaware that Richard dislikes studying and spends much of his time playing. Recently, Richard has become interested in fishing and sometimes skips classes. As a result, he is failing his exams. His headteacher, Miss Young, has warned him, but he does not listen. One afternoon, after Richard was late again, Miss Young became angry.
"I will visit your father tomorrow evening, Richard," said Miss Young. "I need to find a good way to educate you."
"You'd better not talk with him, Madam," replied the boy. "Or you'll have to pay a fee for his advisory service!"
