At a pre-med university in St. Louis, students were required to take a challenging physics course. One day, while the professor was explaining a particularly complex concept, a student rudely interrupted: "Why do we have to learn this stuff?"
"To save lives," the professor replied curtly before resuming the lecture.
A few minutes later, the same student spoke up again, persisting: "So how does physics save lives?"
The professor responded, "It usually keeps idiots like you out of medical school."
