English Original
Robert is twenty-six and works at a middle school. Two and a half years ago, he was hospitalized and met a beautiful nurse named Ann. She took care of him, they became friends, fell in love, and married about six months later.
Robert enjoys reading. When he returns home, he often reads newspapers or books while Ann prepares dinner in the kitchen. When the meat is roasted, she asks her husband to cut it in two. They then have supper together, followed by a walk or a trip to the cinema, enjoying each other's company.
One day, after planting trees with his students on a mountain, Robert returned home exhausted and hungry. That evening, Ann roasted a piece of chicken and asked him to cut it. This time, Robert kept the larger piece for himself and gave the smaller one to his wife.
"I remember, dear," Ann said with a smile. "When we were first married, you always gave me the larger piece. Why do you give me the smaller one now?"
Robert felt embarrassed and was at a loss for words. After a moment's thought, he replied, "You cook better now than before."
