The phoenix was a colorful and beautiful bird.
It lived alone in a vast desert, where there were no trees, flowers, other birds, or fish. The phoenix had no family—no parents, siblings, or friends.
No one knew where the phoenix came from, not even the phoenix itself. It was profoundly lonely and unhappy. For 500 years, it did everything by itself: eating, drinking, and spending its days merely sitting or standing in the silent desert, never speaking or singing.
Eventually, the phoenix grew tired of this existence and wished to die. One day, it set itself on fire. The bird was burned to ashes, but from those ashes, a new, young bird rose. It was a young phoenix, as beautiful and vibrant as the old one.
