Self-Made Man | 白手起家的人

English Original

A man is invited to dinner at a new friend's house. During the meal, his friend's young son stares intently at him. Finally, the guest asks, "Why are you staring at me like that, young fellow?"

The boy replies, "My dad said you're a self-made man."

"That's right," the guest confirms.

To which the boy innocently inquires, "Well, why did you make yourself like that?"

男孩随即天真地追问:“那你为什么把自己造成这个样子呢?”
