English Original
A thirsty fox searched everywhere for water on a scorching day. Spotting a well in the distance, he rushed over. The water looked cool and inviting, but the well was deep. Overcome by thirst, he jumped in.
After drinking his fill, the fox realized he was trapped. He couldn't climb out. Just then, he heard a goat approaching, also seeking water.
"How is the water down there?" asked the goat, peering into the well.
"Oh, it's wonderful! The best I've ever tasted," replied the fox slyly. "I'm enjoying it all by myself."
"May I join you? I'm terribly thirsty," pleaded the goat.
The fox pretended to think. "Well, since you're my friend, just this once."
The goat jumped in eagerly. After drinking, the fox said, "It's getting crowded here. I've had enough; I'll leave you to it." With that, he stepped onto the goat's back and swiftly climbed out.
"Wait! Help me out too!" cried the goat.
"You should have thought of how to get out before jumping in," said the fox from above. "Next time, think before you act." And he walked away, leaving the goat trapped.
Moral: Think carefully before you act.
