During his flight from danger, the wise man Lin Hui, overburdened, cast away his invaluable ancestral jade and chose to carry his newborn son forward.
Others questioned him, saying, "It was not to your advantage to discard the precious jade instead of the child, for the child is heavier and larger. Why did you do that?"
Lin Hui replied, "The child is my own flesh and blood. To me, he is far more valuable than the jade."
