Three contestants, each born with a unique disability, entered a special swimming competition: one with no arms, one with no legs, and one who was just a head.
The race seemed absurd, but their dedicated training and the historic nature of the event drew a large crowd.
At the whistle, they dove in. The armless contestant surged ahead initially, but the legless swimmer closed in fast. The head, of course, sank straight to the bottom.
After ten lengths, the legless swimmer won to great applause.
Seeing bubbles rise from the pool floor, the winner sportsmanlike dove down, rescued the head, and placed it at the poolside. The head coughed, sputtered, caught its breath, and then turned red with fury.
Fuming, it shouted to the crowd: "I spent three years learning to swim with my ears! Then, two minutes before the race, some jerk puts a swimming cap on me!"
