One day, a mouse spotted some cheese on the table, but a cat was in the house. The mouse needed a plan to lure the cat away. His first idea was to let the cat chase him and then hide, but he thought of a safer plan. He went to the cat's toy basket, wound up the toy mouse, made it squeak, and released it.
While the cat chased the toy, the real mouse climbed onto the table. Just as he was about to climb down, the cat returned to the kitchen for a drink. The mouse needed another plan. He decided to knock a cup of water onto the cat.
At that moment, he saw the cat fall asleep. The mouse went back to the toy basket, fetched some yarn, returned to the table, tied the yarn to the cheese, and lowered it to the ground. He started pulling, but it was too heavy. So, he enlisted 112 other mice to help drag the cheese to their hole in the wall. There, they all enjoyed a fine meal together.
