A wealthy elderly couple entered a jewelry shop to buy a bracelet. After browsing many beautiful pieces for half an hour, they narrowed their choice down to two. One was very expensive, while the other was considerably cheaper.
The shopkeeper, hoping to sell the more expensive item for a higher profit, said to the wife, "Go on, spend his money. If you don't, he might just spend it on his second wife."
There was a moment of silence. Then the lady replied angrily, "I am his second wife."
